Kits: storage, opening and on-board stability

From the delivery to the last test of a kit.

  1. Receive the delivery in My stock: cold kits go to the fridge, at the temperature the IFU states (usually 2–8 °C), the rest to the store.
  2. Use the lot that expires first. An expired lot asks for a yes before it is loaded.
  3. Load the kit onto its analyzer in My stock: it is recorded as opened today. Its on-board stability is in the IFU.
  4. Mark it Finished when it is used up, or Thrown away with the reason.

The opened date and the days on board are the first things we look at when a kit misbehaves. My stock keeps them for you, and the forecast tells you when to reorder.
